What is the Media?

The word "media" is the plural form of the word "medium".

medium: something intermediate in nature or degree; a middle state or condition.

Note that it does not say 'the purveyors of truth' or 'the deliverer of facts'. Rather is it something in the middle.

'In the middle of what?' you would be right to ask.

Here are a few facts;

1) The Media is not a separate entity existing in between anything. A quick analysis will show that.

2) All Media outlets are owned by something or someone. We all know this.

3) Media exists in audio format, in video format, it is broadcast and is also directly piped to your home... your place of sanctuary, (or so it once was before you allowed evil in). It also exists in print; newspapers, magazines, books, comics, etc.

Now, I will ask you a question which I have asked many people many times over the years; "if you owned a newspaper what would you print in it?"

The response is a pause for thought and then they start on a few vague things.
The correct answer is that you as a newspaper owner, would print whatever you wanted to print, be it humour, left-leaning commentary, right-leaning commentary, Aryan information, black or oriental pieces, hair-styling, a study in claustrophobia, whatever you wanted. As long as it is not legally defamitory

If you wanted to publish that the world is flat, oblong, hairy or really upside down, if you wanted to print that the colour orange is really blue, if you wanted to print that you can change your gender by reading the last paragraph in the newsprint or if you wanted to print that creatures of extra-terrestrial origin are hiding around every street corner masturbating as they watch you sell your soul then you can do it. Most, (if not all of), what I just wrote has already been printed, (and much worse).

The same thing is true of TV/Internet/et al.

Now that it has been clearly established that there are no restrictions placed upon what the owner of all Media writes/prints/speaks/etc. and thus, that there is no governing body regulating it then the next question that I will put to you is; "why do you believe what the Media is telling you is true"?

And "yes" it absolutely is a belief that has no grounds in reality.

So, the next logical question is then, "why are the Media telling you what they are?" and given that it never changes direction, (just intensity), "what is their long term goal?"

NOTE: I will expand on this when I get the time and post it in essay form on the main site.
